Vaandel is a design duo founded in 2024, specializing in bespoke furniture and lighting design for the hospitality industry. Rooted in craftsmanship and collaboration, the brand is built on a shared vision of quality, creativity, and detail.

The name Vaandel, derived from Dutch and Afrikaans, translates to “banner,” “badge,” or “flag.” It symbolizes unity, identity, and purpose. More personally, it reflects the story of two colleagues who became friends, ultimately joining forces under one banner to bring their combined passion to life through design.

The brand symbol is a refined typographic mark that merges the form of a banner or flag with the letter “V.” This integration creates a visual emblem that is both elegant and enduring, a timeless representation of the brand’s values and narrative.
